requently Asked Questions
Q = What different colors of foil do you have to choose from?

A = There are several different colors available. You may choose to match the trim on the front on your album. If you are just doing the spine, you may have more colors to choose from. (Note - not all foils are "printable" on all albums.) Go to Fonts & Foil Color to see a listing of foil colors available.

Q = What sizes and styles of print do you have to choose from?

A = There are two sizes and two styles to choose from. Go to Fonts and Foil Color to see a sample of each. Scroll to the chart below to see approximately how many letters will fit per line.

Q = What does the customer need to do to prepare their album for embossing?

A = The customer need only give me the part (s) of the album that is to be embossed. (i.e. spine, back cover or front cover)

Q = Do customers need to wait while their embossing is being done?

A = It works best for the customers to drop off their album and order form and then come back later in the workshop to pick it up.

Q = How long does it take to emboss an album?

A = The time can vary with each set-up. The average is between
6 - 8 per hour.

Q = What happens if there are more albums to be embossed and the workshop has ended?

A = Coordinators / consultants / store owners may want to handle this differently. I am willing to take the albums home to finsih them. Within a couple of days, they would be delivered back to the coordinator / consultant / store owner for distribution back to the customer. Payment is due when your completed album is returned to you.

Q = What happens if a mistake is made during embossing?

A = If the mistake is a customer error, a new cover may be purchased and I am willing to redo the embossing for free. If the mistake is my error, I will purchase a new album and emboss if correctly for the customer.

Q = What types of albums can be embossed?

A = Faux-leather and  cloth. There are some albums out there, that have a "softer" cardboard inside. These can be tricky. An alternative solution to embossing would be to choose to emboss the text onto a self adhesive metal plate. Go to Metal Plates to see the sizes, prices and color choices available.

Q = How many letters will fit per line?

A = It depends on the font the customer has chosen along with what mix of upper and lower case letters are used. There is approximatley 5 inches of "workable" space per line. Use the following as a guideline:
